This is Johnathan, a character from David Firth's original cartoon A Black and White Cartoon about Roof Tiling. A very depressing short about a man who obviously has very deep mental issues.

This blog is all about an animation artist by the name of David Firth. His animation style is very different than most animators. He incorporates very unsettling textures, movements, images, sounds, and characters to create the little bits of dream-like animations that will either leave you scared to death, or puzzled beyond belief. He has done many different kinds of animation from paper cut-outs to claymation. Firth has a habit of not making any sense in many of his cartoons, which for some reason his fan-base can't get enough of. However in the ones that do make some sense, he likes to toy with the viewer's mind by hinting little subliminal messages that may suggest there is a much bigger point to the cartoon than just what the viewer is watching. In any case David Firth is a mastermind and has a love for sick and twisted humor and crudely drawn vile characters who some how have won the hearts of us in the US and his neighbors in the UK.
